Hello Friends,

Thank you for your interest in learning more about me and my candidacy for Oldham County Judge Executive. I’ve dedicated the past eight years to creating a safe place for women and families at Crossroads Pregnancy Resource Center. The Lord has been gracious and always provided for the needs of the ministry. It is easy to share stories that flow from the good work done there.

I find it is more challenging to promote self. However, I understand you need to know about me in order to make an informed decision in this election.

I am a member of Crestwood Baptist Church. My family moved to Oldham County in 1980 and I graduated from Oldham County High School. I am married to Shawn Tapp and we have a blended family with five adult children and three grandchildren. I completed my undergraduate degree in business administration at Indiana Wesleyan University and graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2016.

I currently serve on the Oldham County Board of Adjustments and Appeals. I served five years on the Oldham Chamber and Economic Development Board. I was honored with the Tony Cotten Oldham County Woman of Distinction award in 2024. I am the Board Chairperson of the Justice Defense Foundation of Kentucky and President Elect of the La Grange Rotary. I also volunteered at Highpoint Charitable Services for a number of years.

I am invested in Oldham County. I love our people and I love our sense of community. I also know that progress is inevitable. There has been a lot of change over the past 45 years. I believe our Progress Should Have a Purpose. To achieve the desired outcomes we need a Judge Executive who is honest, trustworthy, and has the ability to build relationships.

I hope that you see those qualities in me and I humbly ask for your vote.
